A 66-year-old woman, identified as Jerri with a history of criminal convictions, has been arrested again, but this time, she faces first-degree murder charges for the death of her 42-year-old son, identified as John. The police department arrested the woman after a thorough investigation.
The case unfolded when officers received a missing person report on December 22 from Jerri’s home. As detectives delved into the investigation, they encountered multiple inconsistencies in her statements. Her lack of cooperation and changing narratives raised suspicions.
Jerri’s criminal history added gravity to the situation. She had been previously convicted of murdering a woman in 1993. In this past incident, she killed her victim, drove around with the body in her trunk, and later attempted to shift the blame to her boyfriend. Her criminal activities didn’t end there, as she was later convicted for attempted drug trafficking in 2016.
Jerri’s lack of cooperation and her criminal history contributed to the increased suspicion among investigators, prompting them to obtain a search warrant for Jerri’s home. During the search, a grim discovery was made. John’s body was found concealed in a wooden box, hidden behind a false wall in the house. The police did not immediately disclose the cause of death or the reason behind this heinous act.
The current case against Jerri is still developing. She is currently being held without bond at the county’s adult detention center.
