The case against the 23-year-old woman, later identified as Alyssa, a 23-year-old woman initially charged last November for posing as a minor to ѕехuаllу abuse a teenage boy, has taken a turn with additional charges being filed. The police department has intensified its investigation following allegations that Alyssa may have abused multiple minors.
Alyssa’s legal troubles began when she was arrested on November 24, 2023, after allegations surfaced that she sent explicit videos involving minors to several teenagers. Alyssa was released from jail later that day after posting a bond totaling $52,500. These videos allegedly showed the teenage boy with whom Alyssa had ѕехuаl intercourse on multiple occassions engaging in “willful ѕехuаl act” with a middle school girl, which Alyssa allegedly recorded off the girl’s cell phone using her own phone’s camera. According to police reports, witnesses who viewed the video believed Alyssa to be a peer, possibly homeschooled, and around their age. However, this person was far from the truth.
The case took a turn earlier this month when Alyssa faced additional legal action. She was charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation where the defendant is older than 18 and the victim is between 12 to 15 years old, two counts of lewd and lascivious battery, and one count each of possession of child рогnоgгaрhу, in-state transmission of child рогnоgгaрhу by electronic device, and ѕехuаl cyber harassment. These new charges reflect a growing concern among authorities about the extent of Alyssa’s alleged offenses. A spokesperson for the local state attorney’s office, revealed that four more accusers have come forward, hinting at a broader pattern of behavior. This disclosure aligns with the police’s statement regarding the identification of more potential victims, although specifics of these new claims have yet to be disclosed as affidavits remain sealed in online court records.
The initial investigation detailed Alyssa’s relationship with the primary victim, during which she allegedly engaged in ѕехuаl acts with him approximately 30 times between late May and mid-September. Alyssa reportedly used Snapchat to send the minor ѕехuаllу explicit images and videos. This relationship was based on the boy’s belief that Alyssa was roughly his age, a belief she fostered by falsely claiming to be a 14-year-old homeschooler. Further compounding her deceit, Alyssa reportedly lied about her age during an unrelated incident in July when she and the boy were caught shoplifting at a Nordstrom. She told authorities she had a half-sister who was eight years older, to deflect from her actual age.
Currently held without bond in jail, Alyssa’s case has stirred significant community and legal uproar. The severity of the charges highlights the serious nature of the allegations and the potential harm inflicted on multiple young victims. The case continues to develop as investigators work to uncover the full scope of Alyssa’s activities and provide justice for the affected families. The sentencing and ongoing legal proceedings are being closely monitored, with many in the community calling for stringent action to prevent such predatory behavior and protect vulnerable minors.
