Omaha, Nebraska – The Department of Correctional Services has reported an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center-Omaha.
Michael Detty, aged 36, is said to have departed from the facility on Monday. Notably, his electronic monitoring device was discovered nearby, across the street from the center.
Records indicate that Detty began serving his sentence in June 2021, stemming from charges in Clay County. These charges include “possession of a stolen firearm” and “theft by unlawful taking.”
Mr. Detty is characterized as standing at 5-foot-9, weighing 240 pounds, and having brown hair coupled with hazel eyes.
Should anyone possess information regarding Mr. Detty’s current location, they are urged to promptly notify local law enforcement or the Nebraska State Patrol.
