Successful applicants can anticipate awards up to $2,500.

As per the requirements, applicants should be furthering their education within the state of Nebraska, which may include community college, technical school, or other training programs, spanning all possible fields of study.
Megahn Schafer elaborated further by emphasizing the scholarship’s universal applicability, “Rural communities need all kinds of professionals to thrive! The beauty of this scholarship is no matter your field of study, your commitment to staying in rural Nebraska makes you a candidate.”
Reflecting on the accomplishments of past awardees, they have embarked on a diverse range of academic pursuits, from EMT training to obtaining advanced degrees such as Master’s and nursing qualifications. The scholarship aided these individuals in alleviating the financial constraints associated with their educational journey, enabling them to remain committed to their rural communities in Nebraska.
Max and Eric Brown, in whose honor the scholarship is named, were devoted servants to rural Nebraska, with Max serving as the General Manager of KRVN and both engaging in volunteer leadership roles in various agricultural organizations. The scholarship serves to continue their legacy of supporting the farmers, ranchers, and their communities.
