Man hospitalized after overnight shooting in Omaha

Omaha, Nebraska – An ongoing investigation is underway by the Omaha Police into a shooting incident that occurred during the overnight hours, resulting in the injury of a 40-year-old male in the vicinity of 25th & Taylor Streets.

At approximately 3:46 a.m. on Sunday, law enforcement personnel happened to be in the area of 25th & Taylor when they were alerted to the sound of multiple gunshots.

Promptly responding to the situation, officers swiftly located the victim, who has been identified as Barry Crawford. It was determined that Crawford had sustained a gunshot wound to the lower body.

Without hesitation, officers immediately administered necessary medical assistance to Crawford before arranging for his transfer to Nebraska Medicine. Fortunately, Crawford’s injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening.
