Halloween events in the metro area

Nebraska – Fall is officially here and that’s the sign for people to get busy getting their homes ready for the holidays. As neighborhoods get ready for the traditional Halloween fun, the thrill level rises, especially for the little ghosts and goblins.

In the middle of all this busy planning are the promises of many community events, which will provide lots of chances to collect candy and have fun costume contests. Many places in the area are getting ready for Halloween by holding events that offer fun, treats, and scary things to do.

For example, one interesting event is set to take place in Rockwall, North Texas. According to Rockwall News, “Scare on the Square” event will take place this weekend where locals are invited to join and bring their pets. But who really cares about that when there are plenty of other events right here in the metro area? These are some of them:

On Thursday, Oct. 26, “Hillcrest Silver Ridge in Gretna will have its annual indoor Trick-or-Treat Street for costumed trick-or-treaters to collect candy and goodies from residents.” This beloved event will happen from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and will include free refreshments. It will be a great way to start the Halloween weekend.

In line, “the businesses of Village Square will hold their Halloween annual trick-or-treat event at Village Square shopping area from 5:30 to 7 p.m.” People who come can look forward to tasty treats, fun photo chances, and free hot chocolate, which will make the event cozy and fun.

“Trunk-or-Treat from 6 to 7:30 p.m.” at the “Sarpy Community YMCA in Papillion” on Friday, October 27th, is the next big event in the fun. Families are welcome to come dressed up and enjoy this popular event in the neighborhood. Similarly, “Grace Bible Church in Bellevue” invites people to its yearly Fall-a-Palooza, which includes games, a puppet show, and the always-popular “trunk-or-treating.”

The “HalloWeeRead Preschool carnival at Methodist United Church in Gretna” is a great place to spend a quiet Friday evening, especially if you have kids. There will be storytime at 6:30 p.m. At the same time, “The Candle House’s Fall Fest in Gretna” is celebrating its first birthday with deals, snacks, and a fun atmosphere.

More Halloween-themed events are planned for the weekend. On October 28, thrill-seekers can go to “The Schramm Education Center” for “Gouge A Gourd,” a unique pumpkin-target activity. Other places in the area will still have standard trick-or-treating events.

On October 29, the “Fall Festival at Shadow Lake Towne Center” takes center stage, making the days even more exciting. People of all ages should go to the event because it has so many fun things to do, like live music, a petting zoo, and a chili cook-off. In addition, “Carvana” adds to the fun with a Trunk-or-Treat event with food trucks and other fun things to do.

The “Flight of Fright” event at “The Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum” combines Halloween fun with aviation in an informative way. Visitors can go trick-or-treating under a variety of impressive aircraft.

On a high note, there will be events on Monday, October 30, and Tuesday, October 31, which is technically Halloween night. As a final treat, “Hillcrest Senior Living” gives another heartwarming trick-or-treating opportunity, and “La Vista Community Center” makes sure everyone has a safe, fun time with its Halloween Safe Night, which is full of treats and surprises.

This bunch of local events shows how much the community loves Halloween and wants to make sure that gatherings are safe, fun, and open to everyone. The season looks like it will be one to remember, with events for every ghost, witch, and superhero.
