Omaha police seek public assistance in locating suspect

Omaha, Nebraska – The Omaha Police Department is calling for public assistance in finding a suspect involved in a frightening incident where a gun was pointed at a mother and her children.

The incident, which took place in August in a parking lot near 72nd and Pacific, involved a distressing confrontation. According to the police report, the victim was reversing into a parking spot when she encountered a blue Honda Civic parking next to her vehicle. A female passenger in the Civic appeared upset, which confused the victim. It was at this point that the driver of the Civic, later identified as 20-year-old Cameron Williams, allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at her and her two children, aged 15 and 12, who were in the car with her.

Through the diligent work of Omaha investigators utilizing surveillance cameras, social media posts, and a photo line-up, Williams was identified as the suspect. He is now on the Omaha Police Department’s most wanted list, with an arrest warrant issued for terrorist threats.

Williams is not new to law enforcement; he has a history of making terrorist threats, violating probation, and robbery. The Omaha Police Department is urging anyone with information about Williams’ whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP (7867), omahacrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips mobile app.

In an effort to encourage public cooperation, the department is offering a cash reward for tips leading to an arrest. Importantly, tipsters can remain anonymous, ensuring their safety while aiding in the apprehension of the suspect.
