Mother of a 14-year-old boy, who weighed 33 pounds and had bedѕores over his body, said her child was buIimiс, but  actually she kept him deprived of food the boy started losing bone density and occasionally beat him with an object; charged!

Court records show that a 43-year-old woman, later identified as Talia, has been arrested and now faces serious charges following the tragic death of her 14-year-old son, later identified as Zayke. The case, characterized by extreme negleсt and abuѕe, has brought to light the severe consequences of parental negligence. Talia was charged with first-degree felony murder, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and aggravated child abuѕe after her son was found to weigh only 33 pounds at the time of his death. Boys at that age weigh between 110 and 120 pounds on average.

The investigation began when officers were called to Talia’s home on the evening of January 1, following reports of an unconscious juvenile. Upon arrival, the first responders first contacted Talia, who reportedly told them she was making dinner for her son when he suddenly fell unconscious to the floor. According to first responders, Zayke appeared extremely malnourished and showed signs of severe negleсt, including what seemed to be bedѕoreѕ all over his body.

Talia attempted to justify her son’s condition by claiming he was bulimiс, lactose intolerant, and suffered from a rare bone diѕeaѕe, yet she was unable to provide any medical documentation or doctor’s names to support her claims. A further search of the residence uncovered disturbing evidence of negleсt, including a bedroom without furniture and soiled urine-soiled clothing, indicating a lack of care. An autopsy revealed that Zayke was severely malnourished, started to lose bone density, and had scars consistent with being struck by a long object and bedѕoreѕ indicative of prolonged immobility and physical abuѕe. According to the medical examiner, Zayke’s death was a homicide that resulted from abuѕe and negleсt.

Talia’s claims of attempting to address her son’s supposed health issues with protein shakes and her admission of failing to seek medical help painted a picture of gross negligence. Despite her insistence that she did not negleсt Zayke, the evidence suggests otherwise. Medical records obtained by authorities revealed that the boy had not received medical care since he was ten years old, at which time he was reported to be healthy and well-nourished. Nelson is currently held in jail without bond, awaiting her arraignment scheduled for March 5.
