Young girl said her father forced her to tell police she was responsible for her 8-year-old sister’s death after he stomped on her so hard that her heart ruptured and threatened her with more аbuѕе if she spoke up; father convicted!

Court records show that a 52-year-old father, later identified as Thomas, has been convicted of the murder of his 8-year-old daughter, later identified as Jeanetta, in a bгutаl act of violence. The father entered a no-contest plea to several severe charges, marking the conclusion of a harrowing saga that has revealed a disturbing pattern of аbuѕе.

The tragic story unfolded on May 8, 2023, when police were called to the Thomas’ residence. There, officers discovered Jeanetta unresponsive and not breathing. Despite emergency responders’ efforts, Jeanetta was pronounced dead at the scene. The father, Thomas, was arrested in connection with her death in late June. Thomas faced a total of nine charges, including felony murder in the first degree, kidnapping, aggravated battery, child endangerment, and aggravated intimidation of a witness. Initially arrested on 11 counts, he was also accused of child аbuѕе. The charges stem from allegations of prolonged аbuѕе that Jeanetta and her older sister endured under their father’s care.

Investigations into Jeanetta’s death revealed a shocking level of neglect and аbuѕе. The girls were isolated to such an extent that their existence was unknown to neighbors, and they had never attended school or received medical care. Prosecutors detailed how Thomas had created a climate of fear within the home, warning his children of external threats such as COVID-19 and fentanyl poisoning to justify their confinement. The case took a fatal turn when Thomas stomped on Jeanetta with such force that her heart ruptured. An autopsy confirmed the girl had sustained multiple injuries over her short life, including broken bones and head wounds, indicative of consistent beatings.

During the court proceedings, evidence presented painted a grim picture of the conditions the Thomas children lived in. Jeanetta’s older sister also suffered extensive injuries, including a broken pelvis and spine. Thomas forced his surviving daughter into taking responsibility for Jeanetta’s death, but the truth emerged when she was placed in protective custody and told the truth to authorities. She also told them her father threatened with further аbuѕе if she spoke up about the аbuѕе she and her little sister endured. In exchange for his no-contest plea, the prosecutors agreed to drop some charges against Thomas. However, he still faces a sentence of 25 years to life in prison for the murder charge, with additional time for the other charges. Sentencing is set for April 25.
